Night Ranger Atlantic city reviews
The Can Still Rock
I travelled to Anderson Thursday night with two 50-somethings to see if Night Ranger could still play. I've seen the band three times, plus Damn Yankees once in '91, so was looking forward to a night of tunes we knew by heart. The Paramount Theatre was an exceptional venue. We went with second row balcony seats and were rewarded with a commanding view of the stage and band.
The bland played for a little less than 2-hours and hit most of what we expected. They mixed in Coming of Age and High Enough from Damn Yankees and closed the show with Still Rock in America. The sound mix was good and the Jack/Kelly's voices could still get it done. My favorite part of the show was that Night Ranger still seemed to be having fun. The band definitely had a game plan and worked through about 14 songs seamlessly. At a time when some 80s acts are just cashing a paycheck, these guys were putting on a show. Well worth it. Enjoyed the hell out of it.
